At Coningsby we aim to provide a quality, authentic curriculum that inspires and motivates students to achieve their personal best. We offer music, health and physical education (HPE) to all students with Japanese being studied by students in years 5 and 6. On a rotational basis we are visited weekly by a music specialist, a Physical Education teacher and a LOTE (Japanese) teacher. During Term 4 students undertake swimming lessons at Squid Kids Aquatics in Paradise Street. This is a whole school undertaking.
Our students also have access to a learning support teacher, specialist teachers and speech pathologist, all of whom visit the school on a regular basis. This work is then reinforced on an individual basis with our trained teacher aides.
As we are a small school we take the opportunity to co-operatively plan with the Northern Highway cluster schools. This allows schools to combine for events such as excursions, celebration days and sports days and to provide students with some consistency across the schools.
